Why it is used

The information is intended to help the studio understand your inquiry, assess the requested scope, review reference files, and contact you about questions or next steps. Submitting a brief is not a project agreement.

Where submissions go

During local development, test submissions are saved on the computer running the website and are not sent to the studio. On a configured live deployment, inquiry details are intended to be stored in the project's private database, while uploaded references are intended to be held in private file storage. If email notifications are configured, a summary of the inquiry and its attachments may also be sent to the designated studio inbox.

The studio should verify the active storage, email, access-control, and backup settings before accepting real client information.

Files and sensitive information

Only upload images and documents you have permission to share, such as inspiration images, sketches, site photos, or plans. Do not upload identification documents, payment details, passwords, or unrelated sensitive records.

Access, retention, and requests

Access should be limited to people who need the information to handle the inquiry and service providers used to operate the website. The studio must confirm a retention period and secure deletion procedure for inquiry data, email copies, and uploaded files.
